Twilight © Stephenie Meyer.
Art © me. Edward in the sunlight was shocking. I couldn't get used to it, though I'd been staring at him all afternoon. His skin, white despite the faint flush from yesterday's hunting trip, literally sparkled, like thousands of tiny diamonds were embedded in the surface. So this is my first attempt at portraying Edward Cullen from Twilight, the teenage vampire romance I'm absolutely hooked on right now (just started the sequel, New Moon, and I know I'm going to cry when I get to the end because Eclipse won't be out until August, whaaaaa...). I'm not entirely happy with this, because he came out all pretty when he's supposed to be "inhumanly beautiful". And his face is all crooked, don't know how I managed that. And I'd actually drawn a lot more of his body, but it just wouldn't look good until I cropped most of it off. So I feel I've failed him *big time*, but I'll definitely try again because I really enjoyed doing his hair and eyes (even though the details on them got lost because of the glow). *Eldanis, once again, thank you so much for introducing me to such a wonderful series ETA: Submitted a close-up version of his face without the sparkling and glowing effect: [link] |

Err.... On one hand I'm going 'asdfjlnhggg' over him, because I'm a fan of that book as well and on the other I'm ummming and hawing because I'm not sure if he suits anime style.
