Happy Birthday, Kiley!!


First of all, who else was blown away by the sheer awesomeness of episode 36? I watched it yesterday morning and I was so glued to my monitor you'd have thought I hadn't read the manga and didn't know what was going to happen next. Oh I can't wait for 37!!

Anyway, I finished this about a week ago and I was really itching to upload it. Truth be told, I wasn't looking forward to drawing Light/Raito at all, but he was surprisingly cooperative. So was his hair, actually! Talking about that, I'm sure some people will tell me I did the locks the wrong way round, but the manga and anime don't seem to agree, and because I'm anal like that I wanted to do the *real* Light/Raito so I went with manga reference pictures from the first chapter.

The cool lightning effect was provided by my Photoshop guardian angel. Because he's just got an eye for what looks right.

I'm working on another Light/Raito request which, interestingly enough, should make a very nice contrast with this one.

Yay for Kira-sama! Episode 36 had me on the edge of my seat. I screamed after Light's last line. I was also pretty creeped out by Mikami in that episode. His personality was almost Gollum-like. After the episode, I ran around my house screaming, "7 more days! I can't wait!" over and over again.
